Known as the “cashmere of cotton,” Supima’s longer strand length creates the softest and strongest cotton fabric available, retaining brilliant color and lustrous sheen.
Organic Supima offers even greater quality than the conventional crop:
Grown without pesticides
No synthetic fertilizers
No GMO components
No irradiation
Finer cotton strands, which produce smoother, silkier cotton
Organic Supima comprises less than 1% of the entire Supima crop, which is grown exclusively in the U.S.A.
We are extremely proud to be able to offer Organic Supima Live Good products. Live Good chose Organic Supima to further our company’s commitment to sustainability and local production. Organic Supima cotton is grown using advanced methods that reduce resource consumption including water, land, and energy use. This luxurious, rare cotton not only requires careful tending during the growing season but must also be woven using specialized techniques that turn its extremely fine strands into strong, smooth, durable fabric. Like all cotton, Supima is also renewable and biodegradable, and, as a living crop, contributes to the removal of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Supima stands for “superior Pima” and refers to extra-long staple (ELS) cotton grown in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas. A crossbreed of cotton varieties from the Atlantic coastal Sea Islands and Egypt, the Pima name honors the indigenous Pima Indians of Arizona who helped the U.S. Department of Agriculture begin raising the cotton in the American Southwest.
Live Good crafts all of its bedding, pillows, and baby products from 100% certified organic materials. The result is unsurpassed luxury and sustainability that brings natural, lasting comfort to your home.
